In mid-August, former patient Rob Heitz plans to swim the San Francisco Bay ¡ª from Alcatraz Island back to shore ¡ª to raise funds and awareness for the Paralysis Recovery Foundation, which he founded. Episode 3 of Escaping Paralysis ¡ª a docuseries following Rob¡¯s story ¡ª includes interviews with three Shirley Ryan ³Ô¹ÏÌìÌÃ91 experts: David Chen, MD, section chief, Spinal Cord Injury; Arun Jayaraman, PT, PhD, executive director, Technology & Innovation Hub; and Zev Rymer, MD, PhD, director, Sensory Motor Performance Program.

When the 2022-23 academic year commences in September, there will be a new full professor among the ranks of educators at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine¡¯s Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R).
