Blair Hu, a graduate student researcher at the Center for Bionic Medicine, successfully defended his PhD thesis on October 17. Blair's thesis, ¡°Applying Sensor Fusion and Deep Learning to Discover Robust Representations of Movement Intention for Powered Leg Prostheses,¡± describes new techniques to integrate human movement data to improve the control of powered lower-limb assistive devices.
