About Me

Rachel Kalvakota is an occupational therapist at Shirley Ryan ³Ô¹ÏÌìÌÃ91, with extensive experience in both clinical and research roles. She has a strong background in neurologic rehabilitation, having worked in diverse clinical settings, including the Technology Center, DayRehab and Inpatient Care. 

In her research capacity, Rachel contributes to the Single Motor and Assistive & Rehabilitation Robotics Labs, focusing on upper extremity function in individuals with neurological and musculoskeletal conditions. 

Rachel's passion for integrating technology into rehabilitation extends to her clinical work, where she has facilitated access to consumer-based and assistive technology solutions for patients with a range of disabilities. Her leadership in the field includes securing funding through Shirley Ryan ³Ô¹ÏÌìÌÃ91's Catalyst Grant for ¡°A Truly Accessible Switch,¡± a project aimed at improving accessibility in assistive technology.
