Payton's Story: Paralysis to SkyRise

A high school student and an avid ice skater, Payton experienced a spinal hematoma in 2018 and became paralyzed from the waist down. Following intensive rehabilitation at Shirley Ryan ³Ô¹ÏÌìÌÃ91, she was able to walk again. Just recently, she participated in SkyRise Chicago for the second year in a row, tackling stairs for the virtual event as family cheered her on.
