Knowledge Translation: Applying Research Every Day In Clinical Practice

Description:  In this webinar a clinical framework for knowledge translation and its application to rehabilitation settings will be discussed. In addition, feasible implementation strategies that can facilitate the translation of evidence into practice will be presented with examples. Examples will include the implementation of innovative technologies into clinical practice and techniques for spreading and sustaining best practices.

Objectives

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to: 

  • Describe the knowledge to action cycle framework for knowledge translation
  • Compare different ways to implement change using implementation planning frameworks and evidence-based implementation strategies.
  • Discuss how the knowledge to action cycle can be applied to (1) novel research into practice and (2) implementing established practice guidelines.
