About Me

Meg Washburn has devoted 17 years of her career to promoting brands, ideas and stories. Currently, she serves as Executive Director of Communications for Shirley Ryan ³Ô¹ÏÌìÌÃ91 (formerly Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago), the #1 rehabilitation hospital in America. In this role, she collaborates with the organization¡¯s leadership team, scientists and clinicians to promote the hospital's news, research and patient stories across multiple channels ¡ª from traditional/social media to video and internal communications.

Previously, Meg was Vice President of Partner Engagement for Chicago Cares, where she led communications and branding for the city¡¯s premier nonprofit service organization. Before that, she served as Senior Director of Communications for the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, promoting Kellogg¡¯s thought leadership globally. Meg began her career as an administrator for Sotheby¡¯s before transitioning into public relations.

She received her BA in Art History from Northwestern University.
